Thrasher has gone 8-2 against Tremont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rebels will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Thrasher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Thrasher hadn't beaten Hickory Flat on the road since March 19, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them last Friday. Thrasher was the clear victor by a 20-7 margin over Hickory Flat. Thrasher's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Delancy Sartain was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Sartain was also big at the plate, earning three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brookelyn Roberts, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. Valerie Hester was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Tremont was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Falkner. That's two games in a row now that Tremont has lost by just one run.
Mylah Hood made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Zoee Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
The win got Thrasher back to even at 2-2-1. As for Tremont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Everything went Thrasher's way against Tremont in their previous meeting back in February, as Thrasher made off with a 19-13 victory. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
