Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poughkeepsie). They put the hurt on the Yonkers Montessori Academy Eagles with a sharp 22-8 victory on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Pioneers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Poughkeepsie pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Yonkers Montessori Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

As of now, neither Poughkeepsie nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
