Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Starts Season with Win Against Sonoraville

LaFayette had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sonoraville Phoenix on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Ramblers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

LaFayette not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Sonoraville to exactly 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16.

LaFayette found their leader in sophomore Jaslyn Capello, who had seven digs and two aces.

Coincidentally, LaFayette and Sonoraville will both be playing Pickens the next time they take the court. The Ramblers will head out to face the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Phoenix will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
