The biggest upset of the week belonged to Jefferson-Morgan, who took down 402nd ranked Jefferson-Morgan, 25-21.
Avella moved up to 369 from 513 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL A Tri-County South. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of a 25-21 win over the Rockets.
Bethlehem Center's dynamic duo of Gino Faieta and Anthony Gilpin proved tough for Bentworth to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Faieta threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns and Gilpin had 119 yards receiving. Dominick Welsh helped Bethlehem Center's passing attack out by catching one ball for 27 yards.
Dustin Conti was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 177 yards as Jefferson-Morgan topped the Bearcats. Nic Santoyo also contributed to the rushing game with 96 yards on the ground.
Bethlehem Center's Faieta and Gilpin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Faieta has thrown for 394 yards this season, while Gilpin, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 10 catches for 242 yards. Conti from Liam Ryan's team leads the league in rushing with 594 yards.
A big matchup in WPIAL A Tri-County South this week will be when Frazier takes on the Rockets. The Commodores are currently in fourth, while Jefferson-Morgan is in third.
Frazier was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Mike Steeber's team defeated West Greene 39-21 earlier in the week.
