Preview: Ascend Leadership Aviators vs. Chatham Charter Knights
After two games on the road, Ascend Leadership is heading back home. They will take on the Chatham Charter Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ascend Leadership comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Ascend Leadership took a serious blow against Triangle Math & Science, falling 64-18. Ascend Leadership was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.
Meanwhile, Chatham Charter had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They breezed by River Mill at home to the tune of 61-21. Chatham Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Ascend Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Chatham Charter, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
