Baseball Recap: Minarets Victorious

Minarets came out on top against Fresno Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Mustangs walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Eagle. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Eagle recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Caden Mitchell looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jamie Spurgeon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Torin Wolf, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Minarets' record now sits at 20-8-1. As for Fresno Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season.

As of now, neither Minarets nor Fresno Christian have any future games scheduled.
