Basketball Game Preview: Mount Abram Roadrunners vs. Mattanawcook Lynx

The Mount Abram Roadrunners will face off against the Mattanawcook Lynx at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mount Abram comes in on six and Mattanawcook on 21.

Mount Abram is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-43 victory over Monmouth Academy.

Meanwhile, Mattanawcook faced Madawaska in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Mattanawcook came out on top against Madawaska by a score of 81-71.

Mount Abram better keep an eye on Kooper McCarthy. He was instrumental in Mattanawcook's win, en route to 28 points and five assists. McCarthy's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Oliver, who to rack up 18 points and six rebounds.

Mattanawcook's win bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Mount Abram, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
