Basketball Recap: Central Gwinnett Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Central Gwinnett and Cherokee squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Central Gwinnett had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Cherokee Warriors 69-38. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Warriors are ranked fourth).

Central Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Cherokee, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 25-4.

As of now, neither Central Gwinnett nor Cherokee have any future games scheduled.
