It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Summit Christian Academy Eagles face off against Mounds Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Summit Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Summit Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Will Rogers College, taking the game 7-4.

Dalton Nail was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zack Collins, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blake Green, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Mounds always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Okmulgee only posted an OBP of .476.

Mounds now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Summit Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mounds struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Summit Christian Academy's way against Mounds in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Summit Christian Academy made off with a 10-2 victory.
