Basketball Recap: Nelsonville-York's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Nelsonville-York won the last time they faced Meigs, and Madi Pidcock did her part to make sure it happened again. The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes blew past the Meigs Marauders 56-20 on Thursday thanks in part to Pidcock, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (six).

Nelsonville-York moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Meigs, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Nelsonville-York will be playing in front of their home fans against Trimble at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nelsonville-York has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Meigs, they will venture away from home to challenge Hannan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
