Baseball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Riverton Silverwolves

For the second straight game, Bingham will face off against Riverton. The Miners will head out on the road to square off against the Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bingham is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Bingham fell victim to Riverton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Silverwolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Miners have suffered against the Silverwolves since May 6, 2024.

For Riverton's part, not much got past Rocky Downs, who gave up just three hits to keep Bingham off the board. Downs has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryder Sand, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Gage Zullo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Riverton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .360 or higher in four consecutive games.

Riverton has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Bingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
