Soccer Game Preview: Chattahoochee vs. Roswell

The Chattahoochee Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Roswell Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chattahoochee faced off against Seckinger on Friday. Chattahoochee narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Seckinger 2-1. Abigail Fike had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Cougars got from the refs.

Fike and Peyton Freret scored both of Chattahoochee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Roswell put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Northview a 3-0 shutout. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Roswell pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Chattahoochee, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Chattahoochee suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Roswell in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Chattahoochee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
