It was fun while it lasted, but Mount St. Mary's undefeated season came to an end after eight games on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mullen Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The loss put an end to the Rockets' undefeated start to the season.

Mount St. Mary saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Stanley, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Rylan Kuklinski also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount St. Mary fell to 8-1. As for Mullen, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mount St. Mary will take on Green Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mullen, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mountain View at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
