Softball Recap: Cory-Rawson Comes Up Short

Cory-Rawson lost to Riverdale back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fighting Hornets fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 11-10. The Fighting Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Inbody stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Willow Hailey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Cory-Rawson now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Riverdale, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Cory-Rawson will head out to face off against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Riverdale, they will host Elgin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
