Baseball Game Preview: Lee County Bobcats vs. Leslie County Eagles

Lee County hasn't had much luck against Leslie County recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bobcats will head out to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lee County is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Powell County.

Meanwhile, Leslie County fell victim to Clay County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Tigers. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Leslie County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Leslie County's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Lee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Lee County might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Leslie County when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
