Baseball Recap: Virginia City Comes Up Short

Virginia City lost against Wells back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Muckers lost 13-3 to the Leopards. The Muckers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Virginia City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Hipolito, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Hipolito also put up a home run, which was his first of the season.

Virginia City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Wells, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

While Virginia City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
