Baseball Recap: Yates Center Comes Up Short

Yates Center lost against Crest on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 19-4 to the Lancers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evan McVey was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. McVey is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Yates Center's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Crest, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yates Center will host Central Heights on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crest, they will square off against Southeast at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
