Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Takes Down Erie-Prophetstown in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Riverdale had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamryn Kruger, who had 15 digs and two aces. What's more, Kruger posted four assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches.

Kruger wasn't the only good servers: Riverdale was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matchups.

Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 23-10-1. As for Erie-Prophetstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 32-5.

As of now, neither Riverdale nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
