Basketball Recap: Calera Drops Season-High Score on Coalgate

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calera). They blew past the Coalgate Wildcats, posting a 79-19 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Calera's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Coalgate, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Calera has already played their next matchup, a 68-32 victory against Colbert on the 30th. As for Coalgate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-29 win against Savanna on the 31st.
