Basketball Recap: Kosciusko Takes a Loss

After flying high against Caledonia last Tuesday, Kosciusko came back down to earth. The Kosciusko Whippets lost to the Houston Hilltoppers on the road by a 50-35 margin on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Whippets in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Houston found their leader in sophomore Katie Jones, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Alecia Pulliam, who scored ten points.

Kosciusko's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Houston, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-6.

Kosciusko does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Houston, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calhoun City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
