Basketball Game Preview: Roncalli Royals vs. Whiteland Warriors

Roncalli has gone 8-2 against Whiteland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Royals will square off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Roncalli is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.

Roncalli is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points last Thursday, they were much more limited against Center Grove on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Trojans, falling 56-23. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lola Morelli, who posted six points. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage.

Meanwhile, Whiteland lost to New Palestine at home by a 49-35 margin on Saturday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Roncalli fell to 5-1. As for Whiteland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Roncalli against Whiteland when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 66-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
