Highland's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Civic Memorial Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on Monday.

Ben Kunz looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chase Knebel was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Highland's record now sits at 13-9. As for Civic Memorial, they dropped their record down to 12-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will face off against Teutopolis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wooden Shoes' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Civic Memorial, they will square off against Freeburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
