Football Recap: Schaumburg Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Schaumburg won the last time they faced Prospect and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Saxons put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 40-18 win. The result was nothing new for the Saxons, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Mia Phelps threw for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Martha White was her top target, picking up 104 receiving yards and two TDs.

The victory (which was Schaumburg's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.5 points over those games. As for Prospect, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Schaumburg will face off against rival Conant at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Prospect is set to take on their familiar foe Fremd at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Knights 15, the Vikings 13.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
