Volleyball Recap: Kellam Takes a Loss

Kellam came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mighty Hoppers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Kellam still got an impressive performance from Giulia Alison, who had 19 digs. Alison is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Riley Erwin also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Kellam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Georgetown Day, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Kellam wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against James Wood on the 13th. As for Georgetown Day, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Maryvale Prep on the 13th.
