Basketball Recap: Carolina Christian Academy Victorious

Carolina Christian Academy's game on November 7th was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Hayworth Christian Knights by a score of 53-45. This was payback for Carolina Christian Academy, who suffered a 57-55 defeat the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Hayworth Christian lost, don't look at Daniel Gerringer. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points. That was a full 46.7% of the Knights' points, marking the third time in a row Gerringer has put up more than a third of the team's points. Grayson Rubnich was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The win got Carolina Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Hayworth Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. After both having extra time off, Carolina Christian Academy and Cornerstone Christian Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Hayworth Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Carolina Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 2.
