Baseball Recap: Attica Takes a Loss

Attica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Southmont Mounties, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Ramblers of the 14-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Attica got a good showing from Blake Inman, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Inman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18-1. As for Southmont, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-17.

Attica wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Benton Central on the 27th. As for Southmont, they have also already played their next game, a 9-8 win against South Putnam on the 28th.
