Volleyball Recap: Waxahachie Prep Warriors vs. Westwood Wildcats

After flying high against Winston School of Dallas last Thursday, Waxahachie Prep came back down to earth. The Waxahachie Prep Warriors lost 3-0 to the Westwood Wildcats on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2016.

Waxahachie Prep was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-11.

Even though they lost, Waxahachie Prep kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in September.

Waxahachie Prep's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-12. As for Westwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Waxahachie Prep will face off against Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westwood, they will square off against Winston School of Dallas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
