Baseball Recap: Center Point-Urbana Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Center Point-Urbana and Williamsburg meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Stormin' Pointers fell 6-3 to the Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 on Wednesday.

Center Point-Urbana has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Williamsburg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-13.

Center Point-Urbana wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Solon on the 26th. As for Williamsburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-6 loss against Marion on the 26th.
