Volleyball Recap: Our Lady Academy Beats Poplarville for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Our Lady Academy entered their tilt with Poplarville on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets. The matchup marked the Crescents' most dominant win of the season so far.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Our Lady Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-13.

Our Lady Academy was led to victory by Taylor Henley and Mackenzie Knoblock. Henley hit 66.7% for ten kills and 11 digs and one block, while Knoblock had six digs. Henley is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season.

Our Lady Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Our Lady Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Our Lady Academy will square off against Brandon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poplarville, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Harrison Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
