Baseball Recap: Millennium Finds Home Field Redemption Against Sunnyslope

There's no place like home for Millennium, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Sunnyslope Vikings on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Millennium got a great performance from Felix Santana as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Santana a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Fillman, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Brady Perrin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Millennium lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Millennium's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Sunnyslope, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16.

Coming up, Millennium will be playing in front of their home fans against Alhambra at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
