Basketball Game Preview: Union Grove Wolverines vs. North Oconee Titans

The Union Grove Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the North Oconee Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Union Grove can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home two weeks ago. They lost 77-55 to Southwest DeKalb.

Langston Jones put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kennington England, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, North Oconee had already won 29 in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it 30 on Thursday. They took down the Gladiators 71-55.

Union Grove came up short against North Oconee in their previous meeting back in November of 2020, falling 54-49. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
