Basketball Recap: Millennium Comes Up Short

Millennium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 74-47 loss at the hands of the River Islands Riptide. The Falcons were down 56-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

It was another big night for Idrees ElFarra, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and six assists for River Islands. Thanks to that strong game, ElFarra now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. Charles Mapanao was another key player, going 5 of 12 to rack up 14 points.

Millennium's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for River Islands, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Millennium is taking a road trip to square off against Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Islands, they will welcome Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
