Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] faced New Rockford-Sheyenne in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] fell to 8-1. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.
