Softball Recap: Perry Hall Comes Up Short

Perry Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastern Tech Mavericks. The Gators lost against the Mavericks in their previous head to head back in May of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 28-0 score last time.

Savannah Carl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Perry Hall saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Carl, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Perry Hall now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Eastern Tech, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Perry Hall will head out on the road to square off against Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern Tech, they will square off against Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
