It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mesquite can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pinnacle Pioneers by a score of 42-40 on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Rylee Fraley, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Pinnacle. Fraley also posted a block, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Norah Moo, who posted seven points and 14 boards.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 27-2. As for Pinnacle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pinnacle beat Mesquite by a score of 42-40 later that day.
