Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Piles Up the Points Against Pacific

Hillcrest posted their biggest victory since November 19th on Thursday. They breezed by the Pacific Pirates to the tune of 71-23. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 38 points or more this season.

Pacific's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Francisco Garcia, who posted 11 points, and Maurice Fitzgerald, who put up six points and 12 rebounds. Fitzgerald has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last ten times he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Hillcrest and bumps their season record up to 14-2. As for Pacific, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-45 victory against Kaiser on the 27th. As for Pacific, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-46 loss against Redlands on the 27th.
