Basketball Recap: Jordan Red Jackets vs. Academy for Classical Education Gryphons
Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 57-49 to the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons. The matchup was a 25-25 toss-up at halftime, but the Red Jackets couldn't quite close it out.
Academy for Classical Education found their leader in sophomore Brady Balkcom, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine steals. Another player making a difference was Camden Bailey, who earned 13 points in addition to five rebounds and two steals.
Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Jordan will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Northside at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will take on Georgia Military College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
