Basketball Recap: GMG Comes Up Short

If GMG was feeling good fresh off their 42-14 takedown of Cedar Valley Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The GMG Wolverines took a 29-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colo-NESCO Royals on Tuesday. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Royals earlier this season, when they won 37-28.

GMG has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Colo-NESCO, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. GMG has already played their next game (against North Tama), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Colo-NESCO will square off against Valley Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
