Baseball Recap: Osceola Takes a Loss

If Osceola was riding high fresh off their 23-3 takedown of Amery on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chieftains came up short against the Warriors on Thursday, falling 11-4. The Chieftains were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 23-3.

Osceola has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Amery, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Osceola wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Baldwin-Woodville on the 6th. As for Amery, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 win against Glenwood City on the 2nd.
