Recap: Highland Home Flying Squadron vs. Zion Chapel Rebels
The Highland Home Flying Squadron won the last time they faced the Zion Chapel Rebels, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Highland Home walked away with a 55-46 victory over Zion Chapel.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Slade Grantham, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Grantham scored a full 39.1% of Zion Chapel's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Landon Sawyer, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Highland Home's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Zion Chapel, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 14-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Home won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Zion Chapel, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Goshen at 7:00 p.m. Goshen is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
