Basketball Recap: Scott County Comes Up Short

Scott County lost against Sayre back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Scott County Cardinals were beaten by the Sayre Spartans 83-48. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Spartans are ranked 46th).

Scott County has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Sayre and bumps their season record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Scott County nor Sayre have any future games scheduled.
