Softball Recap: Fishers Has No Trouble Against Lowell

Fishers had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Lowell on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Red Devils. The match marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Frankie Jackson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

In other pitching news, Liv McNall looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Fishers got a massive performance out of Azstryd Alexander, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave Alexander a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Jordan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Fishers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lowell only posted an OBP of .300.

Fishers has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lowell, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Fishers didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Logansport on the 19th. As for Lowell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-3 victory against Andrean on the 21st.
