Basketball Recap: Irondale Comes Up Short

Irondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 84-66 fall against the East Ridge Raptors. The matchup was a 41-41 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Irondale still got an impressive performance from Jake Dedominces, who went 9-for-18 to rack up 22 points. Dedominces' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Russell, who posted 12 points.

Irondale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for East Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Coming up, Irondale will head out to challenge Forest Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Ridge, they will be playing at home against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
