Cox had won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 12-1 to make it 12. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Bayside Marlins. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Marlins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

As for Bayside, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. They have struggled against Cox recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

For Bayside's part, Josh Heinrich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that Heinrich has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayden Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Cox will face off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bayside, they will square off against Kempsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Marlins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
