Recap: Alva Goldbugs vs. Seiling Wildcats
It was a good run, but the Alva Goldbugs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Seiling, falling 58-31. Alva lost against Seiling in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-34 score last time.
Despite the loss, Alva still got an impressive performance from Lakin Gaddy, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Heath, who scored 6 points.
Alva's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Seiling, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alva will take on Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seiling, they will be playing at home against Mooreland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
