Softball Game Preview: Forest Hills Tigers vs. Valley Cavaliers

Forest Hills is 2-8 against Valley since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tigers will welcome the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. Forest Hills has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Forest Hills lost 12-2 to Carrabec on Wednesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against Carrabec on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Forest Hills now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Valley, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Forest Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Valley in their previous matchup last Monday, winning 9-5. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
