Basketball Recap: Meridian Bobcats vs. Lawrenceville Indians
Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Lawrenceville Indians 80-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered since February 20th.
Cassius Woodson and Ahmad Jackson certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Woodson posted 13 points and seven boards, while Jackson went 6-for-15 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Daylen Jones also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Meridian will head out to take on Egyptian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lawrenceville, they are taking a road trip to square off against South Knox at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
