After a string of four wins, Houston County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Daleville Warhawks by a score of 6-5. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warhawks earlier this season, when they won 12-11.

Houston County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emarion Jackson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, Jackson posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Martrez Allen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Houston County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Daleville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Houston County will square off against Dale County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Daleville, they will face off against Houston Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
