Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milan). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ben Knolton made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Knolton was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Milan got a big performance out of Tommy Poole, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That hit was Poole's first of the season. Wyatt Marsh was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Milan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Milan's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Shawe Memorial, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
