Football Recap: Immanuel Falls Short of Barstow in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Immanuel can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 13-12 to the Barstow Aztecs. The game was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Nicholas Gaoa was his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries for Barstow. Gaoa's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Immanuel's defeat dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Barstow, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Immanuel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barstow, they will challenge Sutter at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so the Aztecs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
